Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup butter, melted
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup warm water

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix flour, salt, and 0.5 cup melted butter in a bowl until the texture resembles wet sand.

  2. 2

Add warm water gradually, stirring until a shaggy dough forms. Knead lightly for 1 minute until smooth.

  3. 3

Divide dough into 2 balls. Oil your work surface, then stretch each ball into a thin square, 10-12 inches.

  4. 4

Brush stretched dough with remaining melted butter. Fold in half, then half again to create a smaller square.

  5. 5

Heat a 12-inch skillet over medium-high until a water droplet sizzles. Cook msemen 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

  6. 6

Transfer to a cutting board. Shred or tear into bite-sized pieces, then toss with cinnamon and sugar. Serve warm.
