Ingredients

  • 2 pieces (6–8 inches each) naan or pita bread
  • ½ lb ground beef
  • ¼ cup onion, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp each cumin, paprika, chili powder (mixed spice)
  • 1 whole lemon (cut into wedges)

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 475°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment or lightly oil it.

    Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Add minced onion and cook until soft and fragrant, about 2 minutes.

    Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Stir until no pink remains, about 4 minutes.

    Stir in tomato paste, cumin, paprika, and chili powder. Cook 1 minute until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper.

    Spread 2–3 tbsp meat mixture onto each bread round, leaving a half-inch border. Place on sheet pan.
