Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 whole eggs
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 lb strawberries, hulled & halved
  • ½ cup heavy cream, cold

Instructions

    Preheat waffle iron. Whisk flour, 2 tbsp sugar, 1.5 tsp baking powder, and pinch of salt in a bowl.

    Whisk eggs, milk, and melted butter in another bowl until smooth. Fold wet into dry until just combined.

    Whip cold heavy cream with 1 tbsp sugar until soft peaks form, about 90 seconds.

    Pour 1/3 cup batter into greased waffle iron. Cook until golden brown and edges crisp, about 3 minutes.

    Repeat with remaining batter to make 4 waffles total. Stack warm waffles on a plate.

    Top with whipped cream and strawberry halves. Serve immediately.
