Ingredients

  • ½ lb block feta cheese
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ⅓ cup walnuts, roughly crushed
  • 1 handful crackers (for serving)

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut feta into 0.5-inch-thick slices or cubes. Pat completely dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

Coat feta pieces lightly in flour, shaking off excess.

  3. 3

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

  4. 4

Sear feta 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy on edges. Don't move pieces.

  5. 5

Warm honey with red pepper flakes in a small bowl or the pan's edge for 30 seconds.

  6. 6

Transfer feta to a plate, drizzle with hot honey, scatter crushed walnuts on top. Serve with crackers.
