Ingredients

  • ¾ lb chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 8 oz penne or pasta of choice
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. 1

Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high until crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove to a paper towel; crumble when cool. Leave 2 tablespoons bacon fat in the skillet.

  2. 2

Add chicken to the bacon fat. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until golden and cooked through, about 6 minutes.

  3. 3

Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, about 9 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  4. 4

Pour cream into the skillet with chicken. Sprinkle ranch mix over the cream and stir until smooth, about 1 minute.

  5. 5

Add cooked pasta and crumbled bacon to the skillet. Toss until coated, then stir in parmesan until melted, about 2 minutes.

  6. 6

Serve hot. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
