Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon, sliced
- 1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or 2 tbsp homemade: parsley, dill, chives, garlic powder, onion powder)
- ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- 1
Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6 minutes. Transfer to a plate; leave 1 tbsp fat in the pan.
- 2
Add chicken to the same skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until golden and cooked through, about 7 minutes.
- 3
While chicken cooks, boil penne in salted water until al dente, about 9 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
- 4
Pour cream into the skillet with chicken. Stir in ranch seasoning and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 5
Add drained pasta and crumbled bacon to the cream sauce. Toss gently, adding pasta water 2 tbsp at a time until sauce coats the noodles.
- 6
Stir in parmesan cheese. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
