Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne
  • ¾ cup cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. 1

Boil penne in salted water until al dente, about 10 minutes; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.

  2. 2

Melt 2 tbsp butter in the same pot over medium, add minced garlic, and cook 45 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 3

Pour in cream, stir to combine, and simmer 2 minutes until slightly thickened.

  4. 4

Return cooked penne to the pot, add parmesan, and toss to coat, adding pasta water 1 tbsp at a time if sauce feels too thick.

  5. 5

Season with salt and black pepper, then serve immediately while hot.
