Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups neutral oil for frying
- ¼ cup granulated sugar mixed with ground cinnamon
- 4 oz whole milk or dark chocolate, chopped
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup dulce de leche

Heat oil in a deep skillet or saucepan over medium-high to 375°F (use a thermometer). Mix flour and water in a bowl to make a thick dough.

Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe 4-inch strips into hot oil, using scissors to cut the dough.

Fry churros until golden brown and crispy on both sides, ~1–2 minutes total. Lift with a slotted spoon onto paper towels.

While still warm, toss churros in cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.

Heat chocolate and cream together in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth and glossy, ~2 minutes.
