Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 whole ripe avocado
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries
  • 4 cups neutral oil for frying

Instructions

    Heat oil in a heavy pot or deep skillet to 350°F, about 5 minutes. Test with a wooden spoon — it should sizzle immediately.

    Mix flour, sugar, salt, and water (about 1/4 cup) in a bowl until a soft dough forms. Transfer to a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip.

    Pipe 4-inch strips of dough directly into hot oil. Fry 2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

    Remove churros with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. While still warm, toss with cinnamon sugar in a small bowl.
