Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 pint strawberries
- ¼ cup sugar

Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package directions and bake in a 9-inch round pan. Let cool completely, about 30 minutes.

Melt the 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.

In a large bowl, whip 1 cup of the heavy cream with 2 tbsp of the sugar until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the melted chocolate to make the mousse.

Slice the cooled cake horizontally into two layers. Spread the chocolate mousse between the layers and over the top of the cake.

Whip the remaining 1 cup heavy cream with the remaining 2 tbsp sugar until soft peaks. Spread over the mousse, top with sliced strawberries, and serve.
