- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 12 cookies Oreo cookies
- 1 cup heavy cream

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan. In a large bowl, combine 1 box chocolate cake mix, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, and 1 cup water. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 30-35 minutes. Let cool completely in pan on a wire rack, about 1 hour.

While cake cools, crush 8 Oreo cookies into coarse crumbs. In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup heavy cream over medium until steaming, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips until smooth and glossy.

Once cake is cool, spread ganache over top and sides. Sprinkle crushed Oreos over ganache. Top with remaining 4 whole Oreos for decoration. Let set for 10 minutes before slicing.
