Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (8–10 oz) store-bought pound cake or sponge cake
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ½ cup chocolate sauce (jarred or melted chocolate + oil)
  • 1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

    Slice the pound cake into three thin layers using a serrated knife.

    Sift cocoa powder and powdered sugar together in a bowl.

    Whip heavy cream with vanilla until soft peaks form, about 90 seconds. Fold in cocoa mixture gently.
