Ingredients
- 4 slices bread slices
- 8 oz mushrooms
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 oz cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp parsley
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper

Slice the 8 oz mushrooms and mince the 2 garlic cloves. Finely chop the 2 tbsp parsley and shred the 4 oz cheddar.

Melt 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and 0.5 tsp salt; cook until browned and tender, about 8 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and 0.25 tsp black pepper to the mushrooms; stir for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in half the parsley.

Spread the remaining 1 tbsp butter on one side of each of the 4 bread slices. Place buttered side down on a baking sheet.

Divide the mushroom mixture evenly over the bread slices. Top each with the shredded cheddar.

Broil on high until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread edges are golden, about 3-4 minutes.

Sprinkle with the remaining parsley and serve hot.
