Ingredients
- 4 count store-bought steamed buns (baozi)
- ⅓ lb ground pork
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- ¼ tsp white pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (white)
- 1 handful lettuce & cherry tomatoes (for serving)

Heat a skillet over medium-high. Brown ground pork, breaking it up with a spoon, until no pink remains.

Stir in soy sauce and white pepper. Toss until fragrant, about 30 seconds, then remove from heat.

Slice buns in half horizontally. Fill each with a spoonful of cooked pork.

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each filled bun. Press gently to adhere.

Return skillet to medium-high heat. Sear buns sesame-side down until golden and crispy, about 90 seconds.
