Ingredients

  • 1 double shot (2 oz) espresso
  • ⅓ cup (3 oz) whole milk
  • 2 oz (optional, for pre-heating cup) water

Instructions

    Fill the ceramic cup with hot water and set aside for 30 seconds to preheat, then empty.

    Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2 oz) into the preheated cup.

    Steam the milk in a milk pitcher until it reaches 150–155°F, tilting the pitcher to create a whirlpool.

    Pour the steamed milk into the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon, filling to about 1 inch below the rim.

    Top with a thin layer of microfoam (about 1/4 inch) and serve immediately.
