  • 2 quarts vegetable oil for frying
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ cup hot sauce (Frank's RedHot)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup blue cheese dip
  • 1 bunch celery sticks
  • 1 bunch carrot sticks

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels and place in a large bowl.

  2. 2

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

  4. 4

Heat oil in a large heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer to 375°F.

Remove wings with a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack or paper towels.

  7. 7

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and add hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder.

  8. 8

Simmer sauce for 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until combined and slightly reduced.

  9. 9

Place fried wings in a large bowl and pour buffalo sauce over them.

  10. 10

Toss wings until evenly coated with sauce.

  11. 11

Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately with blue cheese dip, celery, and carrot sticks.
