Ingredients

  • 2 medium (about 1 lb) chicken breast
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 cloves, minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

    Pat chicken dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper on both sides.

    Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high until shimmering, then add chicken and sear without moving for 6 minutes.

    Flip chicken and cook another 5 minutes until the internal temp reaches 165°F.

    Push chicken to the side, add minced garlic to the pan, and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    Add brown sugar and soy sauce, then toss chicken to coat and simmer for 2 minutes until glaze thickens.
