Ingredients
- 1 package (9-inch, double) pie crust
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium, chopped onion
- 2 cloves, minced garlic
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 large, beaten (for egg wash) egg

Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll out one pie crust and fit into a 9-inch pie dish.

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook 1 lb ground beef with 1 chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves until beef is browned and onion is soft, about 8 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Stir in 2 tbsp tomato paste and 1/4 cup water. Simmer until thickened, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
