Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium, chopped onion
- 2 cloves, minced garlic
- 1 lb ground beef
- 24 oz tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper

Heat the 2 tbsp olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the 1 chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the 2 minced garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the 1 lb ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and no longer pink, about 8 minutes.

Stir in the 24 oz tomato sauce, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low and let simmer, uncovered, until thickened and flavors meld, about 20 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
