Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp berbere spice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1 small red chili pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 425°F. Pat dry 2 lb chicken wings with paper towels.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, toss wings with 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp berbere spice, and 1 tsp salt until evenly coated.

  3. 3

Arrange wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway, until skin is crispy and internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  4. 4

While wings bake, chop 1 tomato, 1 cucumber, and 1 small red chili pepper into small pieces. Mix in a bowl with a pinch of salt.

  5. 5

In a small bowl, stir 1 cup plain yogurt with a pinch of salt to make the dipping sauce.

  6. 6

Serve hot wings with the fresh salad and yogurt sauce on the side.

  7. 7

Optional: add a squeeze of lemon or a sprinkle of fresh herbs to the salad if you have them.
