Ingredients

  • 8 oz tagliatelle pasta
  • 12 oz beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 slice bread, cubed
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. 1

Cook tagliatelle in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over high heat and sear beef strips for 2-3 minutes until browned.

  4. 4

In the same skillet, add remaining oil and fry bread cubes until golden and crispy, about 2 minutes.

  5. 5

Toast breadcrumbs in a dry pan over medium heat until golden, stirring frequently, about 3 minutes.

  6. 6

Return beef to skillet with pasta and a splash of pasta water, tossing to combine and coat.
