Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb beef sirloin
  • 3 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the 1.5 lb beef sirloin into 1-inch cubes and pat dry with paper towels. Thread onto skewers, about 4-5 pieces per skewer.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix the 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tbsp ketchup, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, and 1 minced garlic clove. Set aside as a dipping sauce.

  3. 3

Pour the 3 cups vegetable oil into a fondue pot or deep saucepan, leaving at least 2 inches of space at the top. Heat over medium-high until it reaches 375°F (a bread cube browns in 30 seconds).

  4. 4

Place the pot on the table over the burner. Each person cooks their beef skewer in the hot oil for 1-2 minutes, until browned on the outside and cooked to their liking.

  5. 5

Serve the cooked beef with the dipping sauce and extra garlic cloves on the side, if desired.
