Ingredients
- ½ lb ground beef
- ¼ lb ground pork
- ½ cup roasted red peppers (jarred)
- ½ medium yellow onion
- ¼ cup sour cream (or kajmak)
- 1 tsp paprika (sweet)
- 2 pieces fresh flatbread or pita

Mix ground beef, ground pork, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl until just combined.

Divide into 2 large patties about 3/4 inch thick, pressing gently. Don't overwork the meat.

Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 1 minute.

Sear patties 3-4 minutes per side without moving until edges are crispy and brown. Center should still feel slightly soft.

Slice the onion thin. Warm roasted peppers in the skillet with the onion for 1 minute after removing the burgers.
