Ingredients
- 8 whole fresh sardines, cleaned
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 whole lemon, sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the 8 sardines dry with paper towels and arrange them in a single layer in a baking dish.

In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons parsley, 1 teaspoon thyme, and 2 minced garlic cloves. Drizzle this mixture evenly over the sardines.

Season the sardines with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Lay the lemon slices over the top of the fish.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the sardines are opaque and flake easily with a fork, and the edges are lightly browned.
