Ingredients
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze), plus butter and milk

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 12-cavity donut pan with nonstick spray.

Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

In another bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla until combined.

Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Fold gently until just combined; batter should be thick and slightly lumpy.

Transfer batter to a piping bag (or large zip-top bag with a corner snipped). Pipe into prepared pan until 3/4 full.

Bake until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean, 8–10 minutes. Tops should be lightly golden.

Cool in pan 3 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

Whisk 1 cup powdered sugar with 2 tbsp softened butter and 2–3 tbsp milk until smooth glaze forms.

Dip warm donuts into glaze, then set on a wire rack to set, ~5 minutes. Serve warm.
