Ingredients
- 1.5 lb pork ribs
- 2 inch ginger
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 6 cups water

Blanch the 1.5 lb pork ribs in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and rinse to remove scum.

In a large pot, combine the ribs, 6 cups water, 2 inch sliced ginger, 6 smashed garlic cloves, and 1 tbsp black pepper. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the ribs are tender and the broth is fragrant, about 20 minutes.

Stir in the 2 tbsp soy sauce and simmer for 2 more minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed.
