Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. 1

Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, about 10 minutes.

  2. 2

While pasta cooks, chop bacon and fry it in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crispy, ~6 minutes.

  3. 3

Add frozen peas to the bacon and stir for 2 minutes until heated through.

  4. 4

Drain pasta, reserving 0.5 cup pasta water, then add pasta to the skillet.

  5. 5

Toss pasta with bacon and peas, adding pasta water a splash at a time to loosen the mixture.

  6. 6

Remove from heat, stir in parmesan, and serve immediately.
