Ingredients
- 1 can (5 oz) canned tuna in water, drained
- 1 whole ripe avocado
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 2 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1.5 tbsp butter, softened
- ½ tbsp lemon juice

Halve the avocado, remove the pit, and scoop into a small bowl. Mash with a fork until creamy, then stir in lemon juice and a pinch of salt.

Flake the drained tuna with a fork and mix gently with a small pinch of salt and pepper.

Spread mashed avocado on two bread slices, then top each with half the tuna, then one cheddar slice.

Cover each with the remaining bread slices, cheese-side facing down.

Spread 0.75 tbsp softened butter evenly on the outside of each sandwich.

Heat a skillet over medium-high. Place sandwiches in the pan and cook 2–3 minutes until bread is golden and crispy.
