Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 6 tbsp butter, cold and cubed
- ¾ cup mixed dried fruit (raisins, candied citrus, cranberry)
- 3 oz marzipan, cut into 1/4-inch cubes
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting
- ½ cup milk or buttermilk

Mix flour with 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp baking powder in a bowl.

Cut cold butter into flour with your fingertips until the texture resembles coarse sand.

Fold in dried fruit and marzipan cubes. Pour milk in and stir until a shaggy dough forms.

Turn dough onto a floured surface. Shape into a rough oval about 1 inch thick.

Bake on a sheet pan at 400°F until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean, 12–14 minutes.
