Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork shoulder or butt, cubed (1-inch pieces)
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil

Instructions

    Thread pork cubes onto 8 bamboo or metal skewers (if bamboo, soak 20 minutes first).

    Whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, and vinegar in a bowl until sugar dissolves.

    Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

    Sear skewers 2–3 minutes per side until pork browns and edges char slightly.

    Pour glaze over skewers and toss continuously for 1–2 minutes until sticky and caramelized.

    Serve hot. Glaze will thicken as it cools.
