Ingredients

  • 24 cookies chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreos or similar)
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 8 oz chocolate chips or baking chocolate, chopped
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. 1

Crush 12 cookies into fine crumbs. Mix with melted butter until it resembles wet sand.

  2. 2

Press half the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8-inch round cake pan or dish.

  3. 3

Heat 1 cup heavy cream in a saucepan over medium until it steams. Pour over chopped chocolate; let sit 30 seconds, then whisk until glossy.

  4. 4

Spread half the ganache over the crumb layer. Refrigerate 3 minutes until it sets slightly.

  5. 5

Whip remaining 0.5 cup heavy cream with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until soft peaks form.

  6. 6

Crush remaining 12 cookies. Layer frosting, then crushed cookies, then remaining ganache. Top with cocoa dust.
