Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup fresh mint and lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, toss the 1 lb beef with 2 tbsp soy sauce and 2 minced garlic cloves. Let it sit while you prep the onion.

  2. 2

Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add the 1 sliced onion and stir-fry until slightly softened, about 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

Add the beef to the hot skillet in a single layer. Sear without stirring for 1-2 minutes until browned, then stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through.

  4. 4

Return the onion to the skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp soy sauce, and toss everything together for 1 minute until well combined.

  5. 5

Serve the beef over the 2 cups cooked rice, garnished with the 1 cup mint and lettuce leaves.
