Ingredients

  • 1 lb minced pork
  • 1 cup basil leaves
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. 1

Mince the 4 garlic cloves and pick the 1 cup basil leaves, discarding thick stems. Set both aside.

  2. 2

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat with 2 tbsp vegetable oil. Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

  3. 3

Add the 1 lb minced pork and spread it out. Let it sear without stirring for 1 minute, then break it up and stir-fry until no longer pink, about 4 minutes.

  4. 4

Stir in the 3 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, and 1 tsp sugar. Cook for 1 minute until the sauce coats the pork and looks glossy.

  5. 5

Turn off the heat and fold in the 1 cup basil leaves until they wilt, about 30 seconds. Serve hot over the 2 cups cooked rice.
