- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 4 cups water
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- ¾ cup fresh berries or sliced banana

Bring water to a boil in a medium pot over medium-high heat.

Stir in steel cut oats, cinnamon, and salt. Reduce heat to medium-low.

Simmer uncovered for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until oats are tender and creamy.
