Ingredients
- 1 lb beef steak (such as sirloin or ribeye)
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium bell pepper
- 2 buns
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt

Thinly slice the 1 onion and 1 bell pepper. Season the 1 lb steak with the 1 tsp salt and a few grinds of black pepper if you have it.

Heat 1 tbsp of the 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Add the steak and cook until browned and cooked to your liking, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Transfer to a plate.

Reduce heat to medium and add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, the sliced onion, and bell pepper. Cook, stirring, until soft and golden, about 6 minutes.

Slice the steak thinly against the grain. Pile the steak and vegetables onto the 2 buns and serve warm.
