Ingredients

  • 1 lb (or 2 pieces) store-bought pizza dough or 2 naan breads
  • 1.5 cups whole-milk mozzarella, shredded
  • 4 oz spicy pepperoni, sliced
  • ¾ cup marinara sauce
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, torn (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 475°F. If using pizza dough, stretch it gently into a 12-inch round on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

Spread marinara sauce in a thin, even layer across the dough, leaving a 0.5-inch border.

  3. 3

Scatter pepperoni slices evenly over the sauce, then sprinkle mozzarella on top.

  4. 4

Dust the entire surface with red pepper flakes for heat and color.

  5. 5

Bake until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown on the edges, 10–12 minutes.

  6. 6

Remove from oven. Scatter fresh basil over the top if using. Cool 2 minutes, slice, and serve.

Tools you’ll need

  • rimmed baking sheet or pizza pan
  • oven
  • cheese grater (if shredding fresh mozzarella)
