Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ medium onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 pieces flatbread or naan
  • ½ cup greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 whole lemon
  • ¼ medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ whole cucumber, diced

Instructions

    Heat olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat.

    Add diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened and translucent.

    Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it into small pieces, until browned.

    Drain excess fat if needed, then stir in cumin, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne, salt, and pepper.

    Simmer for 2-3 minutes until flavors meld together.

    Warm flatbread in a skillet or over an open flame for 30 seconds per side.

    Mix greek yogurt with juice from half the lemon in a small bowl.

    Spread lemon yogurt on each warm flatbread.

    Top with spiced beef, red onion, cucumber, parsley, and mint.
