Ingredients

  • 4 pieces pita or naan flatbread
  • 300 g ground beef
  • ½ medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 200 ml ayran or yogurt drink

Instructions

    Heat a sheet pan in a 425°F oven for 2 minutes while you mix beef, onion, tomato paste, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

    Spread meat mixture thin across flatbreads, dividing evenly, and slide onto hot sheet pan.

    Bake until bread edges curl and brown, about 8–10 minutes.

    Remove from oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over each lahmacun while still hot.

    Serve immediately with cold ayran on the side and a simple green salad.
