Ingredients

  • 8 pieces large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 pieces sea scallops, patted dry
  • 6 oz white fish fillet (cod or halibut), cut into 2-inch chunks
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ whole lime

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat a 12-inch cast iron skillet over high heat until it's smoking, about 2 minutes.

  2. 2

Add 1 tbsp butter, then arrange shrimp, scallops, and fish on the skillet in a single layer.

  3. 3

Sear without moving for 90 seconds until the undersides are golden. Flip each piece and sear another 60 seconds.

  4. 4

Push seafood to the side. Add remaining butter and soy sauce to the center, stirring until combined.

  5. 5

Toss seafood through the glaze for 30 seconds. Squeeze lime over the top and transfer to a plate.
