Ingredients
- 1.5 lb chicken breast
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 3 stalks green onions
- 3 cup cooked rice
Instructions
- 1
Cut the 1.5 lb chicken breast into 1-inch pieces and toss with the 1/4 cup cornstarch, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper until evenly coated.
- 2
Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally.
- 3
In a small bowl, whisk together the 1/4 cup soy sauce, 3 tbsp honey, and 1 tbsp sesame oil.
- 4
Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the chicken.
- 5
Stir in the 2 tbsp sesame seeds and 2 sliced green onions. Cook for 1 minute more.
- 6
Serve the sesame chicken over the 3 cups cooked rice, garnished with extra green onions and cilantro if you have them.
