Ingredients
- 4 whole large eggs
- 12 oz ground pork sausage
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 whole egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp olive oil for frying
Instructions
- 1
Bring a pot of salted water to boil. Gently add 4 eggs and cook for exactly 6 minutes.
- 2
Transfer eggs to ice water immediately. Cool for 5 minutes, then peel under cool running water.
- 3
Pat peeled eggs dry. Divide sausage into 4 equal portions and wrap each around an egg, sealing seams.
- 4
Place flour, beaten egg, and panko in three separate shallow bowls. Roll each sausage egg in flour, shaking off excess.
- 5
Dip floured egg into beaten egg, coating completely, then roll in panko until fully covered.
- 6
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering, about 1 minute.
- 7
Carefully place breaded eggs in skillet and cook 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown all over.
- 8
Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. Serve warm or at room temperature.
