Ingredients
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 lb potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- ½ cup dry white wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¾ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ¾ lb sea scallops (or clams in their shells)

Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 4 minutes.

Add potatoes and white wine. Bring to a simmer and cook until potatoes are tender, 10–12 minutes.

Pour in cream and stir. Return to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat.

Add shrimp and scallops. Simmer gently until shrimp turns opaque and scallops are just cooked through, 3–4 minutes.
