Ingredients

  • ¼ lb pork, ground
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 16 count round wonton wrappers
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, mix the ground pork, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 2 minced garlic cloves together with a fork until evenly combined, breaking up any clumps.

  2. 2

Place one wonton wrapper on a clean, dry surface with one corner pointing toward you, forming a diamond shape.

  3. 3

Spoon 1 teaspoon of the pork filling into the center of the wrapper.

  4. 4

Dip your finger in water and wet the two side edges of the diamond (not the top and bottom points).

  5. 5

Fold the bottom corner of the diamond up and over the filling to meet the top corner, creating a triangle with a small edge of wrapper showing around the filling.

  6. 6

Bring the two bottom corners of the triangle together underneath the filling and press them firmly together so they stick, forming a little tortellini shape.

  7. 7

Repeat filling and folding with the remaining wrappers and filling until all 16 wontons are sealed.

  8. 8

Pour the 4 cups of chicken broth into a medium pot and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat, about 5 minutes.

  9. 9

Carefully drop all 16 wontons into the boiling broth one at a time.

  10. 10

Let the broth return to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes until the wontons float and the filling is cooked through.

  11. 11

Taste a spoonful of broth; add salt and pepper as needed.

  12. 12

Ladle the soup and wontons into two bowls, dividing them evenly.

  13. 13

Scatter the chopped green onions over the top of each bowl.
