- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- 1 container (16 oz) chocolate frosting, canned or homemade
- ½ cup chocolate chips (for topping)
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment, leaving overhang on two sides.
- 2
Melt butter and chopped chocolate together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring between bursts until smooth.
- 3
Stir in sugar and eggs until combined, then fold in flour and salt until just blended.
- 4
Pour two-thirds of the batter into the prepared pan, then dollop pumpkin puree across the surface.
- 5
Swirl pumpkin into batter with a knife, then drop remaining batter in dollops over top and swirl again.
- 6
Bake 18–20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center has a few moist crumbs — do not overbake.
- 7
Cool completely in the pan, then lift out using parchment overhang and cut into 12 squares.
