- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp poppy seeds
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 0 as needed water
Instructions
- 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the 12 oz egg noodles and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the noodles and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the 4 tbsp butter. Add the 3 tbsp poppy seeds and toast, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- 4
Add the drained noodles to the skillet along with the 2 tbsp sugar and a splash of the reserved pasta water. Toss well to coat, adding more water if needed to create a light glaze.
- 5
Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring, until the noodles are heated through and the sugar has dissolved. Season with a pinch of salt if desired. Serve warm.
