Ingredients

  • 1 lb instant pizza dough mix (or thawed frozen dough)
  • ¾ cup whole milk, warmed
  • 3 tbsp custard powder (or vanilla pudding mix)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 whole egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

    Prepare dough per package directions using warm milk. Knead until smooth, then cover and let rest 5 minutes.

    Whisk custard powder with granulated sugar. Stir in 2 tbsp warm milk until smooth, then add remaining warm milk.

    Divide dough into 6 equal pieces. Flatten each into a 4-inch round on a parchment-lined sheet pan.

    Spoon 2 tbsp custard filling into center of each round. Fold edges up and pinch to seal, creating a pouch.

    Brush tops with beaten egg. Bake at 400°F for 12–14 minutes until golden brown on top.

    Cool 2 minutes, then brush with melted butter and dust generously with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
