Ingredients

  • 2 shots (or 1/4 cup) espresso shots (or strong brewed coffee)
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  • ⅛ tsp salt

Instructions

    Brew 2 espresso shots into a tall mug or heat 1/4 cup strong coffee. Add sugar if desired.

    Pour milk into a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk constantly until surface is foamy and steaming, ~2 minutes.

    Pour the steamed milk into the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon. Top with a thin layer of foam.

    Add a pinch of salt to round out the flavor. Serve immediately.
