Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup lingonberry jam
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 sticks bread sticks

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, mix 1 lb ground beef, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1 egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper until just combined. Form into 12 meatballs.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

Pour in 1 cup beef broth and 1/2 cup lingonberry jam. Stir to combine, scraping up any browned bits. Bring to a simmer.

  4. 4

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until meatballs are cooked through and sauce thickens slightly, about 10 minutes. The sauce should coat the back of a spoon.

  5. 5

Serve meatballs with sauce spooned over, alongside 4 crispy bread sticks for dipping.
