Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine 1 lb ground beef, 0.5 cup breadcrumbs, 1 egg, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 0.5 tsp salt. Mix with your hands until just combined, about 1 minute.

  2. 2

Roll the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs, about 12 total. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the meatballs in a single layer.

  3. 3

Cook the meatballs for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through (no pink inside).

  4. 4

Pour 2 cups marinara sauce over the meatballs. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, until the sauce is hot and slightly thickened.

  5. 5

Serve the meatballs with sauce, optionally with toothpicks for appetizers.
