Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 2 lb potatoes
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter

Peel and chop the 2 lb potatoes into chunks. Boil in salted water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.

While potatoes cook, heat a large skillet over medium-high. Add the 1 lb ground beef and 1 chopped onion; cook until beef is browned and onion is soft, about 8 minutes.

Stir in the 15 oz tomato sauce and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Drain potatoes and mash with the 0.5 cup milk and 2 tbsp butter until smooth. Season with salt.
